april 15, 2006: a cloudy, but memorable, day in point reyes. kassie and i went on a muddy hike up the laguna trail. once we made it to the coast, i gave her an early easter egg. inside was the ring. down on one knee, a few nice words, a question, and an answer. a beautiful moment...followed by champagne, which i had carried on ice in my backpack, and fresh strawberries. we had dinner with kassie’s family later that evening, and an easter sunday celebration the next day.
